Make a side parting in your hair, and bring a section forward so that it could slope across your forehead and you could tuck it behind your ear. This is the section you are going to braid. We are going to do a backwards braid, but a normal one works just as well.
Take a smaller section of hair from the hair you just separated out, from the part beginning at your parting. Divide this into three parts, so you can braid them together. Instead of making a braid where you pull the sections over and on top of each other, pull them behind each other. So if you take the section closest to your face, pull it behind the middle section. The middle section should now be the one closest to your face and the one you just braided should now be the middle one.
Then take the section closest to the top of your head and pull it behind the “new” middle section. Repeat the process again with the “new” section closest to your face, taking it behind to the middle.
When you get to the part when you need to pull the section closest to the top of your head behind to the middle a second time, catch another piece of hair from the main section that you separated in the beginning to form the fringe and braid it behind the middle section along with the section closest to the top of your head.
Each time now that you pull a section behind from the part closest to the top of your head, catch a new “finger” of hair to join the braid. You should be forming a nice backwards half french braid along your forehead. It may take some practice to get it right, but once you get the hang of it, it can be a very pretty way to wear your hair.
